Metro Monday

As I write this, it is Sunday night. I am taken back 2 years ago yesterday... Did you know that it only takes 27 minutes to drive from Helena to Vidalia? Thirty miles and the six little town between home and the vet's office. Metro was yelping in pain. The more he moans and cries, the harder I press the accelerator.

Sarah was saying this morning, she would rather not think about it. And she is sure that Metro would rather forget about it.

Yesterday afternoon, at near the time that the "accident" happened, we were working on the cook house. Sarah's brother drove up on his ATV with his large mixed Lab and the neighbor's beagle in tow. Metro jumped off the Golf Cart and charged the two dogs as to say, "Hey, this is my territory. Y'all need to leave." Which they did.

Five and half pounds of tenacity.
